일반특징 |
등딱지는 하트 모양으로 다갈색이며, 배는 공 모양으로 크고 짙은 갈색의 복잡한 무늬가 있으나 거미마다 회황색 및 검은색, 녹색 등 다양하다. 가운데에 검은 갈색 세로무늬가 있고 그 양쪽에 흰색 八자 모양의 무늬가 늘어서 있다. 다리는 노란색으로 각 마디 끝 부분에 잿빛을 띤 갈색 고리무늬가 있다. 사람이 사는 집 근처에 사는 거미로 전 세계적으로 분포하며, 일반적으로 삼림에서는 살지 않는다. 나뭇가지 사이나 바위 밑, 동굴 등 어두운 곳에 불규칙한 모양으로 그물을 만들고 산다. 성숙기는 6~7월이고, 5~9월에 관찰된다.
